The release (the “R” in”R2) includes new features and enhancements that further improve the ERP system’s functionality. Acumatica has further improved AP/AR balance reporting, giving users increased accuracy and financial visibility—all in the service of making better business decisions. R2 also includes new Operational and Employee Payroll dashboards.
Distribution and Commerce
For distribution and commerce businesses, R2 has new up-sell and cross-sell capabilities that facilitate increased sales and revenue. Paperless directed picking contributes to improved warehouse efficiency. The ability to substitute items will improve fill rates and on-time order fulfillment. Deadstock reports are now available to optimize stock levels. To improve the customer experience and build brand loyalty, R2 supports personalization and gift wrapping.
Construction and Field Service
Integration with CFMA Benchmarker, from the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), is new in R2. It enables construction companies to review and assess their performance against peer companies in the industry. Project drop shipment simplifies project workflows, saving time, as does streamlined billing. Service contract billing can now be configured at the start of each period. Mobile devices can now be used while adding inventory and tracking time, increasing efficiency. The new project reclassification feature allows for easier correction of data entry errors, and service orders can now show profitability.
Manufacturing
One of the most exciting features for manufacturing in R2 is the Capable to Promise feature, which helps manufacturers provide more accurate promise dates. R2 provides a “timeline view” that gives users a visual production schedule. They can then easily identify over- and under-utilized resources, customer commitments, and material constraints. The ability to now add a preassigned lot or serial number allows for tracing raw materials and components to finished goods, improving quality control.
