No. 4: How to create a new ‘Attribute’ for ‘Opportunity’?
Create new Attributes for Opportunity in Acumatica by following few simple steps as outlined below.
Step 1.
Go to ‘Attributes’ in Configuration as shown below.

Step 2.
Enter a new Attribute ID. It can be any unique value of your choice as shown in Image 2 below:

Step 3.
Type the description you want to see in the system as shown above in Image 2.
Step 4.
Use Text as the control type. This is a free form control type, so user can enter whatever they want.
Step 5.
In the ‘Entry Mask’ field, you can use # sign to allow only numeric characters to be entered. In this example, 10 # has been entered, which can be changed later. However, once data is in the system, changing the length may cause data inconsistency.
Note: You can select combo in control type to allow only predetermined value to be chosen. In the table in the middle of the screen, you can add the different values you want to be used.
Step 6.
Once the attributes are created, you can go to Opportunity classes.

Step 7.
Next, change all Class ID attributes in attributes panel.

Now, you can use the ‘Attributes’ feature in ‘Opportunities’.
